Solution

The correct option is A Corticoids
A. Adrenaline, also known as emergency hormone, is secreted from the adrenal medulla. This hormone is associated with maintenance of homeostasis in body and is secreted in response to any kind of stress or emergency in the body.
B. Corticoids are steroid hormones secreted from adrenal cortex. They may be glucocorticoids (cortisol), mineralocorticoids (aldosterone) and sexocorticoids (androgens). Cortisol and aldosterone stimulate sodium and water reabsorption from renal tubules.
C. ACTH (Adrenocorticotropic hormone) is secreted from anterior lobe of pituitary gland. It increases the flow of blood to adrenal cortex and also increases the concentration of cholesterol and steroids. This result in increased output of steroid hormone cortisol from adrenal cortex.
D. Insulin is secreted from the ββ-cells of islet of Langerhans and regulates blood glucose levels.
Addison's disease is caused due to hyposecretion of steroid hormones from adrenal glands. The steroid hormones are cortisol and aldosterone which are secreted from adrenal cortex.
So, the correct answer is 'Corticoids'.
