Solution

The correct option is A uterus
In the female reproductive system, the ovary is the primary reproductive organ that produces female gametes called ova (eggs). Egg from the ovary is received by the fallopian tube. Fallopian tubes open into the pear shaped structure called uterus or womb. Uterus opens into vagina through the narrow cervix.
Once the sperm is deposited in the female reproductive system, it swims to the fallopian tube where fusion of sperm and ovum takes place. This fusion results in the formation of zygote. Zygote undergoes division and forms an embryo. The embryo gets embedded in the walls of the uterus. The uterus nourishes the fertilized egg.
