Along with the nervous system, the ______ system coordinates the various activities of body parts.
Endocrine
The nervous system works to send information to specific cells and specific areas. These include signals for growth, development and normal body functions. To assist in the burden, our body developed the endocrine system, to take over, all of those controlled activities that really don’t need constant surveillance by the central nervous system. The endocrine system includes all of the ductless glands of the body and the hormones produced by those glands. While the nervous system is fast acting, the regulation by the endocrine system is slow and long lasting.
