The correct option is A ₹(5x + 8y)
Cost of one orange is ₹x.
So, the cost of 5 oranges is ₹5x.

Cost of one banana is ₹y.
So, the cost of 8 bananas is ₹8y.

Hence, the total cost of fruits that Amit bought is ₹5x + ₹8y
= ₹(5x + 8y)
