The square chart paper of side $60cm$ can be divided in $7$ parts each of length $8cm$ along one side of the chat paper and in $12$ parts of lengths $5cm$ along other side of the chart paper.
Number of rectangular cards $=7\times 12=84cards$
Now, Area of the square chart paper
$=(60\times 60)c{m}^2=3600c{m}^2$
Area of the one rectangular card $=(5\times 8)c{m}^2=40c{m}^2$
Area of the $84$ rectangular card $=84\times 40c{m}^2=3360c{m}^2$
Area of remaining chart paper $=(3600-3360)c{m}^2=240c{m}^2$.
