On 14th August 1947, Pakistan was created by partitioning India and amalgamating Muslim majority eastern and northwestern regions. On 10th January 1966, Tashkent Declaration was signed to resolve the differences of the Indo-Pakistani war of 1965. On 2nd July 1972, Shimla agreement was signed to reverse the consequences of 1971 war, withdrawal of troops and war prisoners exchange took place. On 21st February 1999, Lahore Declaration a bilateral agreement was signed between India and Pakistan to avoid nuclear race and conflicts among them.
