The correct option is D 80.08 cm
Let the number of unit lengths originally at 10C that add upto the lenght of the line be x and that at 50C be y.
Hence the length of the line can be expressed as
L=xd1=yd2
where d1,d2 are the unit lengths.
Due to thermal expansion, d2=d1(1+αΔθ)
x=y(1+αΔθ)
Thus the length as measured by tape at 10C=80×xy=80.08cm
