Total money spent on the article $= 5700 + 1300 = 7000$
According to the question-
$x = 7000 + \frac{20}{100} \times 7000$
$\Rightarrow x = 7000 + 1400 = R s . 8400$
Hence the article should be sold at $R s . 8400$ to gain $20 %$ .
