Question

An ecosystem has mice. What happens if more cats are added to it?

Open in App
Solution

If more cats are added to the ecosystem, the number of mice will decrease as cats are predators of mice.
If the cats are on the top of food chain in this situation then the predator-prey balance will disrupt and the food chain and food web of the ecosystem will get disturbed.
