Given:
τ=4 Nm; 2l=2 cm=0.02 m
E=2×105 N/C; θ=30


As we know that,

τ=p×E

τ=pEsinθ

putting the given value in above expression, we get

4=p×2×105sin30

p=4×105 Cm

We know that, p=q(2l)
q(2l)=q×0.02=4×105

q=2×103=2 mC

Hence, option (d) is correct.
