The Current drawn by heater I=4A

(i) Power consumed by heater

$$\begin{gathered} P=I^2\times R \\ P=4^2\times 40 \\ P=640W \end{gathered}$$

(ii) Potential difference applied across the heater

$$\begin{gathered} V=I\times R \\ V=4\times 40 \\ V=160V \end{gathered}$$
