An electrician buys a used T.V for ₹ 12,000. After spending ₹ 1000 on repairing the T.V, he fixes up the M.P of T.V as ₹ 15,000. If he gives ₹ 1000 discount on T.V then what is his profit or loss?

Cost of a T.V = ₹ 12,000

C.P of the T.V = 12,000 + 1000 = ₹ 13,000

Discount on a TV = ₹ 1000

S.P = M.P – Discount = 15,000 – 1000 = ₹ 14,000

Here S.P > C.P

Profit = S.P – C.P = 14,000 – 13,000 = ₹ 1,000

Profit on the T.V = ₹ 1,000
