The correct option is B The current will reverse its direction as the electron goes past the loop

The direction of current due to the motion of the electron will be YX.

As the electron approaches the loop, the inward magnetic flux through the loop increases. Therefore, by Lenz's law, induced current will be in abcd.

Similarly, the induced current will be in adcb as the electron moves away from the loop.

Hence, the current will reverse its direction as the electron goes past the loop.
