Energy of electron in nth an orbit in hydrogen atom in kCal/mol is given as:
En=313.6×(1/n2) kCal/mol

Hα line in Lyman series of Hydrogen corresponds to the first line of transition from 21

Therefore, energy of electron in the orbit 1 and 2 are:

E1=313.6×(1/12)=313.6 kCal/mol
