Solution

The compound that is used in whitewashing is slaked lime with chemical formula Ca(OH)2. This, on heating, gives the calcium oxide which again gives calcium hydroxide on treatment with water.

Therefore, ACa;BCa(OH)2;CCaO

The reactions involved are:
Ca(s)+2H2OCa(OH)2(aq)+H2(g)
Ca(OH)2(aq)HeatCaO(aq)+H2O(l)
