We are given two expression
$3 x^{2} - 4 y^{2} + 5 x y + 20$ ................................(1)

$- x^{2} - y^{2} + 6 x y + 20$ ................................(2)

An expression is taken away from (1) to obtain (2) is given by

$3 x^{2} - 4 y^{2} + 5 x y + 20 - (- x^{2} - y^{2} + 6 x y + 20)$
