Question

An ideal gas at 650 mm occupied a bulb of unknown volume. A certain amount of gas was withdrawn and found to occupy 1.52 cc at 1 ATM pressure. The pressure of the gas remaining in the bulb was 600 mm. Assuming all measurements made at constant temperature calculate the volume of the bulb.

P1V1=P2V2650×V=600×(V+1.52)650 V=600 V+912(650-600)V=91250 V=912V =18.24 cc
