Heat energy flows from a body of higher temperature to to a body of lower temperature. When there is no heat flow between the bodies we say they are at thermal equilibrium. It means the bodies have the same temperature. If there is no heat flow between water and the iron ball it means both the bodies have the same temperature of 45C.
