The correct option is B 30 N
The approximate force applied by the mass of the object is 40N- since the mass of the air being displaced is negligible when compared to the other fluids used in this question.
In case of submerging ,the volume of water displaced accounts for 20N (4020=20N).
If a fluid with half this density is used, only half as many Newtons will be relived from the balance
20N2=10N
So in second case reading of balance =40N10N=30N
