Solution

Block cover 2y displacement at 2y displacement.

When frictional force(f) equal to F

f=μMg=cyMg=F

y=FcMg

work done by F isW1;

W1=Fy=F2cMg

Now, work done by the frictional force is W2

dw=fdx=μMgdx

dw=cMgxdx

W2=y0dw=cMg(FcMg)0xdx

W2=cMg[x22](FcMg)0=cMg×F22×(cMg)2

W2=F22cMg

Now K.E of block B is12Mv2

By energy conservation

W1=W2+12Mv2

F2cMg=F22cMg+12Mv2

12Mv2=F22cMg

v=FM1cg
