The correct option is C 4 cm/s away from the mirror
For the given concave mirror,
u=60 cm, f=24 cm
Using mirror formula,
1v160=124
1v=140
v=40 cm
So, m=vu=(40)60=23
Also, velocity of the image when the object is moving along the principal axis,
vi,m=m2vo,m
vi,m=(23)2×9=4 cm/s
Hence, the velocity of the image will be 4 cm/s away from the mirror.
