We have u = -8.0 cm, and f = +12 cm

Using 1v1u=1f,

1v=112 cm+18.0 cm

or, v=24 cm,

Thus, m=vu=24 cm8.0 cm=3

Thus, h2=3 h1=3×2.0 cm=6.0 cm.

The positive sign shows that the image is erect.
