We have,
u=8.0 cm
f=+12.0 cm

Using,
1v1u=1f

1v=112+1(8)

v=24.0 cm

So,
m=vu=24.0 cm8.0 cm=3

hi=3ho=3×(+2.0) cm=+6.0 cm

The positive sign shows that the image is erect.
