A on heating with NaOH/CaO yields Compound B(C5H10).
B on treatment with Cl2 in presence of UV- light yields a single isomer of monochloro compound C (C5H9Cl).

On treatment of NaOH with 2,4 hexanedione to form Ipentene. After treated by Cl2 in presence of UV-light, it produce chlorocyclopentons.
