Magnets are rocks are metals that create an invisible field around them which is called the magnetic field.
This field attracts other magnets and certain metals.
The magnetic field is concentrated around the ends of a magnet. These ends are called poles.
Magnetic poles always exist in pairs. Outside the magnet, the magnetic field goes from the north pole to the South pole of the magnet and inside the magnet, the magnetic field goes from the South Pole to the north pole of the magnet.
There are three types of magnets which are permanent magnets, temporary magnets, and electromagnets.
