Solution

The correct option is C cell wall
Penicillin is an antibiotic which is effective against bacterial infections. The bacterial cell wall is made up of a substance called peptidoglycan. Penicillin acts by inhibiting the formation of peptidoglycan crosslinks in the cell wall. Due to which the bacterial cell wall weakens. This results in cell lysis due to osmotic pressure.
