Jagirdars were similar to zamindars as both collected revenue. Jagirdars gave only a small portion of the revenue collected to the Nizam where as the zamindars kept only a small portion of the revenue collected. Jagirdars also adminstered in their areas whereas the zamindars only imposed the rules set.
