Are prokaryotes multicellular?

Solution
Prokaryotes:
Single-celled organisms that lack a proper nucleus, nuclear membrane, and other organelles are called prokaryotes.
Examples- bacteria, archaea, and cyanobacteria.
These organisms carry out all functions required for their maintenance and survival using one cell.
Therefore, prokaryotes are unicellular and not multicellular.
Sometimes,
prokaryotes like cyanobacteria (
Nostoc
) form large colonies and exist as multicellular units.
