Are there any cell organelles found in the cell?

The cytoplasm contains some tiny components of the cell, these are called the cell organelles. All the seven cell organelles are given below :

1. Mitochondria - Also known as power house of the cell and provides energy to the cell.

2. Ribosomes - These synthesize a variety of proteins in the cell.

3. Endoplasmic reticulum - It is involved in producing lipids and protein manufacturing.

4. Plastids (Chloroplasts) - This organelles are involved in synthesis and storage of food.

5. Golgi bodies - Also known as Golgi apparatus, involves the modification of proteins.

6. Lysosomes - They break down the organic materials and help in digestion.

7. Vacuole - Stores excess water, waste products and food.
