Solution
Tomato
Tomatoes contain fibres that are good for digestion and also provide various nutrients.
They are also the source of an antioxidant called lycopene.
When ingested in a sensible amount it can be healthy.
They may also be harmful to the gut as it contains high amounts of lectin, glycoalkaloids, and organic acids.
The lectins bind with the wall of the intestine and disrupt the cells causing leaky gut and other abdominal issues.
When ingested too much, it can cause inflammation of the gut and acid reflex due to excessive release of acid in the stomach.
