Question

Are valves present in between arteries and veins? (bcoz in science board paper it is given that 'what are the functions of valves present in between arteries and veins')

Solution

Dear student,

The valves are present only in veins but not in arteries.
The function of valves is to prevent the backflow of blood because veins are engaged in the transfer of blood from the whole body to the heart against the gravity.
Arteries do not have valves because they do not require it, they are involved in the transfer of blood from the heart to the entire body.

Regards.
