Question

Area of a parallelogram is 625m2. Find the length of sides of parallelogram if altitude corresponding two sides are 20m and 25m.

Open in App
Solution

Area of the parallelogram (A)=625m2
If one side =a, corresponding height =(h1)=20m
If second side =b ,corresponding height =(h2)=25m
Now, Area of parallelogram =625m2
Base × corresponding side =625
a×h1=625
a×20=625
a=62520
a=31.25m

Also,
b×h2=625
b×25=625
b=62525
b=25m
Lengths of two sides are a=31.25m and b=25m
