Area of a parallelogram is 625 m2. Find the length of sides of parallelogram if altitude corresponding two sides are 20 m and 25 m.

Open in App
Solution

Area of the parallelogram (A) =625sqm
if one side =a m, corresponding height= (h1) =20m
second side = b m,corresponding height = (h2) =25m

1) area of parallelogram = 625 sqm
base × corresponding side = 625
a×h1= 625sqm
a×20 = 625
a = 625/20
a = 31.25 m

2) A= 625sqm
b×h2 = 625
b×25 = 625
b = 625/25
b = 25 m
lengths of two sides are, a = 31.25m and b = 25m
