Solution

The correct option is A BaCl2<SrCl2<CaCl2<MgCl2<BeCl2
The increasing tendency of hydrolysis of alkaline earth metal chlorides is BaCl2<SrCl2<CaCl2<MgCl2<BeCl2. The covalent character and the amount of hydrolysis decreases from beryllium chloride to barium chloride. Thus only BeCl2 and MgCl2 get hydrolyzed due to their covalent nature. Other halides do not get hydrolyzed.
