Arrange solids, liquids and gases in order of:
(i) Increasing interparticle forces
(ii) Fluidity
(iii) Compressibility
Increasing interparticle forces:
Forces that exist between molecules of a matter are termed as intermolecular or inter-particle forces. Interparticle forces are the least in gases and highest in solids. Hence, the correct order for interparticle forces is - Gas < Liquid < Solid.
Fluidity:
It is termed as the ability to flow. The ability to flow is the least in solids and maximum in gases. Hence, the correct order is - Solid < Liquid < Gas.
Compressibility:
Compressibility is mostly observed in gases. A lot of space between particles, a gas can be compressed to a higher extent. Solids have the least compressibility and liquids have little compressibility because of the less space between their particles. Hence, the correct order is - Solid < Liquid < Gas.
