India gained independence in 1947, and the China Communist Party came into power in 1949.
To improve India’s relations with China, the five principles of coexistence- Panchsheel- in 1954 was signed. Panchsheel was the foundation for peace and prosperity.
Border conflicts led to a war between India and China on 20 Oct 1962, popularly known as Sino- India war.
In 2009, Brazil, Russia, India, and China came together to form BRIC. It works towards the betterment of the economy and development of the nations.
