Hitler became the Chancellor (Prime Minister) of Germany in 1933. He set up a centralized government by dissolving the federal status of Germany. In 1934, he introduced the 4th annual plan. Modern technology, improved seeds and use of fertilisers increased in agriculture. Hitler youth was encouraged for agriculture. Hitler gained success in producing artificial fibre, rubber and petrol by using chemicals on coal and wood. He quit the League of Nations in 1934. The German forces entered the civilian region near the Rhine river and captured it. Hitler brought out an agreement with Italy and Japan in 1937. This was called the 'Berlin-Rome-Tokyo' agreement.
