The order of increasing oxidation number of chlorine for Cl2O7,Cl2O,HCl,ClF3,Cl2 is HCl(1),Cl2(0),Cl2O(+1),ClF3(+3),Cl2O7(+7).
The numbers in bracket represents the oxidation number of chlorine. With increase in the number of electronegative F or O atoms, the oxidation number of chlorine increases.
The oxidation numbers of H, O and F are +1, 2 and 1 respectively.
