King Louis XVI took over France after King Louis XV. King Louis XVI was executed by the common people. Then there was republic rule in France for few years after which monarchy was restored. After Napoleon's defeat at the Battle of Waterloo, treaties were signed and Louis XVIII became the king of France. Charles X took over the power. He implemented policies that were not welcome by people and he was forced to give up his throne to Louis Phillippe.
