The transformation of the larva into an adult through drastic changes is called metamorphosis. During metamorphosis in frog, eggs gets fertilised to form early tadpoles without legs, later little tiny legs start to sprout. At this stage they are called late tadpoles. Further the tails get shortened to form the adult frog.
