Solution

Calculation of Surrendered share:

Arun's old share =38, Arun surrenders 13 of 38 in favour of Sehzad, i.e., 13×38=18

Bhushan's old share =28, Bhushan surrenders 14 of 28 in favour of Sehzad, i.e.,

14×28=116

Chetan's old share =38, Chetan surrenders 15 of 38 in favour of Sehzad, i.e.,

15×38=340

Calculation of New Ratios:

Arun's new share after surrendenring 18 in favour of Sehzad

=3818=28

Bhushan's new share after surrendering 116 in favour of Sehzad

=28116=4116=316

Chetan's new share after surrendering 340 in favour of Sehzad

=38340=15340=1240

Sehzad's share is the total of 18 from Arun, 116 from Bhushan and 340 from Chetan

=18+116+340=10+5+680=2180

Hence, New Ratio of Arun, Bhushan, Chetan and Sehzad

=28:316:1240:2180=20:15:24:2180=20:15:24:21

(ii) Values:

(a) Secularism: By admitting a partner from different religion.

(b) Loyalty : By recognising the services provided by Sehzad as their agent in the past.
