Fruits and vegetables have moisture content in them, whereas, dry fruits don't. The presence of moisture content provides favourable conditions for the growth of microorganisms. Even though the vegetables are packed in air-tight containers, the microorganisms already present in them with the help of moisture content deteriorates the food product. This eventually leads to food spoilage unless they are refrigerated.
