The correct option is D Both A & R are true and R is not a correct explanation of A
Bending of a conducting wire causes an effect called work hardening, which dislocates the crystalline structure of the conductor.
Because resistance also depends upon structure of the conductor i.e. Length and Area of cross section of the conductor so by bending of the conductor the structure is effected at the bending areas there by effecting its resistance.

Also R is dependent on resistivity of the material.
