The correct option is B Both Assertion and Reason are correct but Reason is not the correct explanation for Assertion.
One mass is projected with same speed on the different path. If the friction coefficient is different for different paths, the mass will travel different distances. But finally, work done against friction force=initial kinetic energy of the body. So in both the paths, work was done by friction force would be same.
And, work done by friction force=friction force on body×distance travelled by body .
So both the statement are correct but they are not supporting each other.
