The correct option is A Both Assertion and Reason are true and Reason is a correct explanation of Assertion
During cleavage, there is no growth during interphase so the size of blastomeres becomes smaller and smaller. So the cleavage is called fractionating process. In morula stage the cell divide without any increase in size because in cleavage there is increase in number of blastomeres but decrease in size of blastomeres.
