Diamond is stable upto 15000C in vacuum but at 18000C20000C, it converts into graphite.
From figure it can be seen that, in graphite, since pi-electrons are free to move throughout the entire layers so graphite is a good conductor of electricity. Its conductivity increases with temperature.
