Radius of the circle = 6 cm.
Also, angle of the sector = 60°
So,
Area of the sector = θ360°×(π×r2)
=60°360°×(π×62)
= (⅙) × ( π × 6 × 6)
= (132/7)
=1867 cm2.
Therefore, the given assertion is true.
We know, area of circle is equal to πr2, but by using this formula, we can’t find the given area of the sector.
Therefore, it is not the correct explanation of the given assertion.
