Based on the mode of secretion, endocrine glands are of three types: mesocrine, apocrine and holocrine. Mammary glands are the example of apocrine glands.
Cells of the apocrine glnds bud their secretions off through the plasma membrane producing membrane-bound vesicles in the lumen. The apical portion of the secretory cell of the gland pinches off and enters the lumen. The secretion accumulates as secretory granules in the distal part of the cell. This part later breaks down and leaves as a secretion. Hence, option A is correct.
