Mast cells in the human body are associated with secreting a chemical substance called histamine. Histamine is an inflammatory chemical that can cause allergic reactions in the body in response to allergens (allergy causing substance). Hence, assertion is correct.
When allergens enter the body, they stimulate mast cells which initiate the arrival of leucocytes i.e. white blood cells, at the site of infection. As a result, histamine is released from the mast cells which cause allergic reaction in the body. Hence, reason is also true and is correct explanation for assertion.
