Sayyid Ahmad Khan used to believe in Hindu-Muslim unity. He used to regard India as beautiful bride of whom the Hindus and Muslim were two glowing eyes. But after the establishment of the Indian National Congress in 1885, he opposed by calling it a Hindu organization and tried to keep the Muslims aloof from it.
